GREG: All right, for our first clue, we go to Cowboy Woody and Buzz Lightyear, our agents from ACME Toy-Story-Net.

WOODY: Hey, gumshoes! That undynamic duo took Channel 6 to an English city on the River Thames.

BUZZ: The city was the origin of many popular bands such as the Rolling Stones and Queen! ("We Will Rock You" plays in the background.) Now go save that station and send Summer and Cal to infinity�and beyond! (Buzz takes off with Woody.)

GREG: Okay, thanks a lot. Gumshoes, name the city. Is it Dublin, Liverpool, or London? Remember the clues that we heard: English city, Thames River, and origin of the Rolling Stones and Queen. Come up with an answer as quickly as you can. Everyone's ready. Jeremy and Miles, what did you say?

JEREMY: We said London.

GREG: London. Chris and Heidi?

CHRIS: London.

GREG: London. Michelle and Monica?

MICHELLE: We said Liverpool.

GREG: Liverpool, and the answer we're looking for is London. Nice job, you guys. So Jeremy and Miles have 60, Chris and Heidi have 60, and Michelle and Monica have 50. For our next clue�

CHIEF: Hey, Greg, did you happen to get the mail on your way in?

GREG: Oh yeah I did, Chief. Let's see what we have here. Junk mail, file repair bill, junk mail, letter from Mars, junk mail� (Finds an open envelope without a stamp and "Channel 6" written on it) Oh, what's this? (Pulls out a note with some hryvnia) It looks like there's some hryvnia and a note in here.

SPLINTER: Could you please give us that letter?

GREG: Sure. (Puts the note into the monitor)

CHIEF: All right, this fax just came in. (Hands the letter to Splinter)

SPLINTER (reading): It says: "Summer and Cal took us to an Eastern European country whose currency is the hryvnia. Four years ago they had a disputed presidential runoff election between the pro-Russian and government-supported Viktor Yanukovych and the pro-Western Viktor Yushchenko. Public protests prompted by electoral fraud led to this country's Orange Revolution and�" (Screen goes still)

GREG: Huh? What happened?

UKRANIAN VOICE: Please insert 50 hryvnia for continued viewing!

GREG: This darn paid TV! (Inserts the hryvnia into the monitor)

CHIEF: Oh! Thanks, Greg. I hate it when that happens.

SPLINTER: Me too. Let me finish reading. "�and the country's High Court called for a revote in the runoff that resulted in Yushchenko's victory, but not before he fell ill due to dioxin poisoning. This country is giving me the creeps. Get us out of here! Signed, April."

CHIEF (shuddering): Ooh. That letter gave me the creeps. Better get searching, Greg.

GREG: Okay, thanks Chief and Splinter. Okay, gumshoes, name the country. Is it Russia, Belarus, or Ukraine? Remember the clues that we got from the letter: Eastern Europe, hryvnia, and violent, disputed election in 2004 between Yanukovych and Yushchenko. (*Shudders*) Whoo! That gave me the creeps too! Okay, everyone's ready. Jeremy and Miles, what did you say?

MILES: Belarus.

GREG: Belarus. Chris and Heidi?

HEIDI: Ukraine.

GREG: Ukraine. Michelle and Monica?

MONICA: Belarus.

GREG: Belarus, and the answer is Ukraine. Nice job, Chris and Heidi. (*Summer and Cal surf across the screen*) So Jeremy and Miles, you stay at 60, Chris and Heidi move up to 70, Michelle and Monica still with 50. Nice game, gumshoes.

(*Lightning*)

GREG: Okay, you know what that means. It's time for the Lightning Round. All of these questions are about Summer and Cal's most recent known whereabouts, which is Ukraine. All of these questions are worth five Crimebucks. Celebrities, hands on the buzzers, and here we go. What is Ukraine's capital and largest city: Is it Odessa, Kiev, or Sevastopol? (*Buzz!*) Michelle and Monica.

MICHELLE: Sevastopol?

GREG: It isn't Sevastopol. (*Buzz!*) Jeremy and Miles.

JEREMY: Odessa?

GREG: It isn't Odessa. Chris and Heidi, you want to take a stab at it?

CHRIS: Kiev.

GREG: You gotta buzz in!

CHRIS: Oh! (*Buzz!*) Okay, Kiev.

GREG: Kiev is right. Five for you. (*Chris laughs*) We're�we're very particular about our rules here. Okay, question two. What is the name of Ukraine's autonomous republic on the Black Sea? Is it Rivne, Sumy, or Crimea? (*Buzz!*) Jeremy.

JEREMY: Crimea.

GREG: Crimea is right, five for you. Okay, question three: What is a pysanka? Is it a painted Easter egg, a woven basket, or a story cloth? (*Buzz!*) Jeremy.

JEREMY: Easter egg.

GREG: Easter egg is right. So at the end of the lightning round, Jeremy and Miles have 70, Chris and Heidi have 75; Michelle and Monica 50 Crimebucks. Nice game here, guys, that's the way to do it.

SPLINTER: Greg, in the office on the double!

GREG: Okay, I'll be right there. You guys just sit tight here. I'll be right back. (Enters the office)

[shout box] Out of Quarters.

I've beaten the latest USA game within the past week. If you look at the faxed message carefully, you'll probably be able to catch Carmen on the first case afer becoming a super sleuth. I, however, didn't. As a result, Carmen only broke three criminals out from prison. After capturing two of the three, I got a chance to catch her again and I did, ending the game with 42 cases solved.

I wish there were an opportunity for a kind of career mode, which would have different storylines and more ambigious clues as you solved one string of cases after another. After beating it once, this kind of discourages you from solving it again because you know the end result.

FYI, the latest Carmen USA does work in XP and carefreeless isn't a word. I, too, miss the days that I could be careless and always be free to do what I wanted.

You are retired when you arrest and correctly identify Carmen.

It's easy because you know what she normally looks like,(Female brown hair, tall, thin and wearing a hat) Even though she doesn't look like that when you first try to arrest her, put this into the CompuCrook anyway and look at the faxed message to figure out what Carmen looks like in disguise. When you try to arrest her, she reverts back to her more traditional attire.

War Cookie's vantage point of choice was the coffee shop across the street.

Her first action was to send a text message to her sister who has been contacted by what appears to be the proprietor of the casino and with great interest.

She sat and waited.

There appeared to be no reaction what so ever from her sister that was a major clue that her messages are getting through at all.

Now to ponder her options: The direct action is to enter the establishment to take care of business, or be subtle and do a reconnaissance before acting.

The second option is better so making a few more text messages are in order.

It would be more approiate to contact Flag first since if she contacted Carmen it would go over his head in authority. Then a few additional messages to some old friends.

"What's going on in Vegas? Are you there right now?"

This message was sent to Flag and C.C. to Dr.B and Kagome (bear in mind that she had only met Flag in person once only to be officially introduced to him, and the others via text, email, and voice mail).

Right now her concern is to keep her sister out of trouble, and it's best to know the whole story before acting.

Inside the chief's office, you will see as it would like a traditional office.

The Chief's desk consists of many things, including the clipboard, the list of places carmen may have travelled sheet, magnify glass (for her trademark "I Salute You!" phrase), as well as a screen named Walter. When the chief knocks her desk, Walter will pop up, and one of two things will happen:

1. The chief will put a plastic card into Walter for the brefing. When you see her put the card in, pictures will appear.

2. The cheif will take out the magnifying glass from Walter, and puts it toward her eye.

Behind the desk, is the crook files. Books containing stories about the crook. THEY WERE NEVER OPENED!!

Onto the sketch......

When Marc is called into the office. We see him, go through the door of the office. He goes through a small tunnel, and there he sees Greg, sitting at the chief's chair.

Marc: What's up, Greg?

Greg: Are you on the trail on Patty?

Marc: Yes.

Greg: Did you catch Carmen Sandiego?

Marc: Just about to.

Greg: Well, i have a question for you. One of the gumshoes will capture Patty, and bring back the loot. That gumshoe will have the chance to catch Carmen Sandiego. What can you offer the gumshoe who catches Carmen Sandiego?

Marc: Well, how about a free trip?

Greg: Be more specific. Do you want them a trip to where?

Marc: Well, how about a trip to anywhere in the USA?

Greg: I have something better. THE ONE WHO CATCHES CARMEN SANDIEGO, WILL GET A FREE TRIP TO ANYWHERE IN NORTH AMERICA!

(audience applauds)

Greg: Now i want you to get back on the....

The Chief: Greg, what are you doing in my office?!?

Marc: YIKES! (he leaves the office and studio)

Greg: Oh! Hi, Chief! I didn't know you are here. (gasps) You're O.K.!

Chief: Greg, why are you taking away my job?! You have to stop Patty Larceny and help the gumshoes capture Carmen Sandiego!

Greg: Very well, chief. But who will get the job?

Chief: I don't know. Just, go away!

Greg: Yes ma'am. (he leaves the office; but upon exiting the office, he sees Sean near the monitor)

Sean: And now, gumshoes, here is your next question for 1 million crime bucks.

Greg: Sean, go away.

Sean: Yes, Greg. (he leaves the studio)

Greg: Thank you. (advances to the monitor and faced the gumshoes; he does his Phone Tap introduction.)
