Welcome To Vile Headquarters... Or Rather, What's Left Of It.

This site was originally created by Stephanie Chateau as a way to both share her fandom of the Carmen Sandiego franchises, as well as showcase her cosplay performances of this character.

With the debute of her Carmen Sandiego costume and scavenger hunt game at PersaCon 2006, this website was used as a means to help participants uncover clues and solve the riddles handed out by "VILE members" at the convention.

Eventually this site came to represent the modern Carmen Sandiego fandom as a whole and became host to online fan-art, fan-fictions, and even fan-episodes.

While the VILE Headquarters (VHQ) community continued to flourish, so did the online Carmen Sandiego fandom as a whole, which lead to the creation of The Elusive Carmen Sandiego (TECS) - a much more evolved home for Carmen Sandiego fans.

Although VHQ and TECS coincided nicely for a while, there eventually came the realization that both communities we on the same server and had pretty much the exact same members and staff (with a few discrepancies). It was with this redundancy that both communities decided it would be best for VHQ to fully integrate into TECS and that the VHQ website exist solely in an archived form.

While visitors are no longer able to contribute to the site, the fan-creations from our previous members are still available for viewing. To see these, please make use the navigation menu at the top and bottom of all pages.
